How to Get to Sevan, Armenia
Sevan is reached via Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport, followed by a 1-1.5 hour road journey. Regular marshrutka minibuses and private taxis run from Yerevan to Sevan; there is no significant passenger rail service to the town.
Zvartnots International Airport (EVN): Yerevan’s main airport is the usual arrival point for visitors to Sevan. From Zvartnots you can take a taxi into Yerevan (≈20-30 minutes) then continue to Sevan by road. A taxi from the airport to central Yerevan costs roughly 2,500-4,000 AMD depending on the company and time; from Yerevan you’ll switch to a marshrutka or private transfer for the onward journey.
(No dedicated airport at Sevan): There is no commercial airport in Sevan; the Zvartnots hub is the practical gateway for air arrivals.
Train: There is no regular direct intercity passenger rail service to Sevan; rail services in Armenia are limited and most travel is by road. The nearest major rail hub is Yerevan Railway Station for any longer rail journeys.
Bus / Marshrutka: Frequent marshrutka minibuses run from Yerevan to Sevan from points near the city centre and certain metro stations (departures often from the Kilikia or nearby marshrutka stops). Travel time is about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic; fares are inexpensive (typically in the low hundreds to around 1,000 AMD). Taxis and private transfers are faster and convenient if travelling with luggage.

Sevan is a compact lakeside town and very walkable along the waterfront; most visitor sites cluster near the shore.
