How to Get to Savaneta#
Savaneta on Aruba is a short drive from Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). The island has no rail service; taxis, rental cars and local buses are the primary ways to get there and move around.
Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA): Savaneta (Aruba) is served by Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport in Oranjestad. From AUA the drive to Savaneta is about 15-25 minutes by taxi or rental car depending on traffic and exact destination on the island.
Regional connections: There are no additional commercial airports on Aruba; all international arrivals come via AUA and continue overland to Savaneta.
Train: Aruba has no passenger rail system; trains are not used.
Bus & Taxi: Aruba’s public bus network connects Oranjestad, main tourist areas and some neighbourhoods; buses can be used to reach parts of Savaneta from Oranjestad with one or two transfers. Taxis and rental cars are the most practical and flexible ways to reach Savaneta from the airport-taxis are readily available outside AUA and the Oranjestad bus terminal provides local routes.
How to Get Around Savaneta#
Savaneta is best reached from Queen Beatrix Airport by taxi or rental car; Arubus offers a cheaper but less direct public option. On the ground, walking, cycling and short drives cover most needs.

- Arubus (public bus) (Low (local fares)) - Arubus operates scheduled services around the island including routes from Oranjestad; buses are affordable but may require a transfer to reach Savaneta depending on the line. Check current timetables at the Oranjestad terminal.
- Car rental (Varies (rental rates)) - Renting a car is a popular option on Aruba and gives full flexibility to explore Savaneta and the rest of the island. Roads are short and easy to navigate; parking is generally available.
