How to Get to San Nicolaas
San Nicolaas (Aruba) is easily reached from Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) by a short taxi ride or regular Arubus service. The town sits at the southern tip of the island and is connected to Oranjestad and coastal attractions by frequent buses.
Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA): San Nicolaas is on the southern end of Aruba and the island’s main airport (AUA) is about a 20-35 minute drive away. From AUA you can take a taxi (about AWG 25-40 / USD 14-25 depending on destination) or the Arubus public routes to reach San Nicolaas in roughly 20-30 minutes.
Smaller private / charter flights: Aruba has charter and small‑plane operators but nearly all international arrivals use AUA; arrange charters in advance if required.
Train: There is no rail service on Aruba.
Bus: Arubus operates scheduled routes on the island, including services between Oranjestad, the airport and San Nicolaas (Route 10/11 and variants). A single bus fare is inexpensive (a few Aruban florins); the trip from Oranjestad or AUA to San Nicolaas typically takes 20-40 minutes depending on stops.
