How to Get to Samma, Jordan#
Samma is a small locality in Irbid Governorate best reached overland from Amman or Irbid. International visitors usually fly into Queen Alia (AMM) and continue by coach or taxi to Irbid, then use local minibuses or shared taxis to reach Samma.
Queen Alia International Airport (AMM): AMM is Jordan’s main international airport near Amman. To Irbid (the regional hub near Samma) surface options include JETT intercity buses or private taxis; the bus journey to Irbid is roughly 2.5-3 hours and fares on scheduled coach services are typically in the ~6-10 JOD range, while a private taxi/transfer costs significantly more.
Amman‑Marka Airport (OMF / Amman Civil Airport): Marka (the smaller Amman airport) handles some regional and charter flights. From Marka you will usually transfer by taxi into Amman or take a taxi direct north toward Irbid; the road transfer to Irbid is around 1.5-2.5 hours depending on route.
