Rusnė, in the Nemunas Delta, is reached by road from Klaipėda or Palanga; there is no direct commercial air or rail service to the island. Regional buses and cars from Klaipėda/Šilutė provide the usual onward connections.

By Air

Palanga International Airport (PLQ) / Klaipėda (via Palanga): The nearest major airports for reaching Rusnė are Palanga (PLQ) or the more distant Kaunas/Vilnius airports with onward road travel. From Palanga the drive to Rusnė (in the Nemunas Delta) is around 1.5-2 hours depending on route and border formalities.

Klaipėda ferry/port: Arriving by ferry to Klaipėda (international ferry services) is an option if coming from Baltic Sea routes; from Klaipėda, Rusnė is reached by road (about 1-1.5 hours).

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no direct passenger rail service to Rusnė; the nearest mainline stations are in Klaipėda and Šilutė (Šilutė has closer road links to Rusnė).
