How to Get to Räpina
Räpina is a small town in southeastern Estonia best reached via Tallinn or Tartu. Fly into Tallinn Airport for the widest choice of international flights or into Tartu for closer access; from either hub you continue by train to Tartu and then by regional bus to Räpina.
Tallinn Airport (TLL): Tallinn is the main international gateway for eastern Estonia. From Tallinn Airport you can take a taxi to Räpina (about 2-2.5 hours by road) or travel to Tallinn Baltic Station and continue by train and regional bus to Tartu and onwards to Räpina.
Tartu Airport (TAY): Tartu is the closest airport with limited scheduled flights. From Tartu Airport take a taxi into Tartu city (10-20 minutes) then a regional bus from Tartu bus station to Räpina (approximately 1-1.5 hours).
Train: Estonia’s passenger rail network (operated by Elron) serves the Tallinn-Tartu corridor (Tallinn Balti jaam ↔ Tartu). Trains take about 2-2.5 hours between Tallinn and Tartu; from Tartu you need a regional bus or taxi to reach Räpina.
Bus: Regional buses connect Tartu and Põlva with Räpina from Tartu bus station and Põlva bus stops. Buses are the most direct public option for Räpina - typical single fares within counties are low (a few euros) and travel times from Tartu are around 1-1.5 hours.
