How to Get to Rafael Capó
Rafael Capó is a barrio of Hatillo on Puerto Rico's north coast. Visitors commonly arrive via SJU (San Juan) or regional airports and continue by road - driving or arranging a transfer is the usual method to reach the barrio.
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU): San Juan’s airport is the main international arrival point; Hatillo (Rafael Capó) is on the north coast and reachable by car in roughly 40-70 minutes depending on traffic and exact location. Ground options include rental car, taxi/rideshare or private transfer.
Aguadilla-Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN): For some northern coastal destinations Aguadilla may be convenient depending on flight schedules; the drive to Hatillo is commonly 40-80 minutes. Rental cars and taxis operate from BQN.
Train: Puerto Rico does not operate passenger rail for these intermunicipal trips.
Bus: Intercity bus services and private vans connect towns along the north coast, but direct public routes to a specific barrio may be limited. Typically you’ll travel by bus to Hatillo town centre and then use a local taxi for the final short trip to Rafael Capó.
