High / low are average daily temperatures (°C). “Feels” reflects how hot or cold it feels, allowing for humidity.
Northern Luzon (Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera)
February stays pleasant and relatively dry across the Cordillera and Ilocos coast; the Panagbenga flower festival in Baguio is in full swing and the city can be busy. Lowland spots such as Vigan have cool mornings and warm afternoons-ideal for walking the cobbled streets-while Tuguegarao already hints at heat by midday. Roadside winds off the South China Sea remain moderate, so coastal drives are comfortable but bring sunscreen and a light jacket for mountain evenings.
Metro Manila & Central Luzon (Manila, Clark, Subic, Pampanga)
February keeps Manila’s humidity down and city streets more agreeable for walking tours, museum visits and courtyard cafés. Clark and Subic are both pleasant for day trips: Clark has wide, cool mornings while Subic’s bay remains calm for short cruises. Traffic remains heavy on major arteries but rain interruptions are rare, making this a convenient month to fit in errands and staged day trips.
Southern Luzon & Bicol (Laguna, Quezon, Batangas, Albay, Sorsogon)
February is a fine month for coastal road trips along the Bicol Peninsula and for climbing trails around Mayon when visibility is high-Legazpi enjoys many clear days. Town festivals like Peñafrancia in Naga (held in September normally) are not in season, so February is quieter and hotel rates are softer. For diving and whale-watching, cooler mornings and calm seas make early excursions pleasant.
Palawan & MIMAROPA (Palawan, Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque)
February keeps sea conditions calm and air clear across the MIMAROPA islands, making it ideal for snorkeling at Apo Reef, exploring the Underground River, or island-hopping around El Nido. Weather is typically stable, with steady trade winds that keep mosquitoes and humidity in check onshore. Expect crowds at signature sites and slightly higher prices for hotels and tours.
Visayas (Western, Central, Eastern - Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, Samar)
February maintains clear skies and comfortable humidity across most Visayan islands, with seawater visibility at some of the best levels of the year; expect great diving and snorkeling conditions around Cebu and Bohol. Inland towns like Iloilo and Bacolod are pleasant for heritage walks without the oppressive heat of late spring. Festivals wind down but tourism demand remains moderately high, especially on weekends.
Mindanao (Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, Bukidnon)
February stays largely dry across southern Mindanao and is an excellent time for diving around Samal Island and soft-landing treks in Bukidnon. The city festivals and agricultural fairs are lively without the oppressive heat of the lowland plains in April. Bring modest clothing for conservative communities and lightweight rain protection for occasional coastal squalls.
