How to Get to Pargas
Pargas (Parainen) is best reached via Turku - fly into Turku Airport or Helsinki and continue by bus. Local bus services and ferries connect the archipelago; having a car helps for island hopping but public transport is workable in season.
Turku Airport (TKU): The closest airport to Pargas (Parainen). By car the drive from Turku Airport to Pargas takes about 25-35 minutes; taxis and rental cars are available at the airport. Public transport options include buses that connect Turku with Pargas - travel time depends on connections but is typically 30-50 minutes.
Helsinki Airport (HEL): Helsinki is the larger international gateway; from Helsinki you can take a train or coach to Turku and then a regional bus to Pargas. Total travel time from Helsinki by public transport is commonly 2.5-3.5 hours depending on connections.
Train: There is no direct long‑distance rail service into central Pargas; the main rail hub is Turku. From Turku, local buses (operated by Föli) connect to Pargas; the bus ride takes roughly 30-50 minutes depending on route.
Bus / Ferry: Regional buses and some ferry links in the Archipelago connect Pargas with nearby islands and Turku. Föli regional bus tickets cover certain routes; check the Föli app or website for zoning and fares.
