Pankasari Populated Place
Set at an altitude of 4,100 feet and nestled between lush hills, the village of Pankasari enjoys a pleasantly cool climate and is known to golfers worldwide for its Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club, ranked among the 50 greatest on the planet.
Exploring Pankasari#
With average daily temperatures of 60 to 68°F, Pankasari’s exceptional and rather demanding 18-hole golf course makes a welcome change from the heat and humidity of Bali’s south, all while presenting a stunning panorama of Lake Buyan. The Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club was designed by a renowned golfing architect back in the 1970s and features a small hotel, several rustic bungalows for overnight stays, and a traditional Japanese bath.
Pankasari is not far from the Bedugul resort area, which gathers several tourist draws including the crater lakes of Bratan, Buyan and Tamblingan, along with the town of Candikuning and its popular traditional fruit and flower market. Bedugul itself offers an appealing botanical garden and the thrilling Bali Treetop Adventure Park.
