How to Get to Panj
Panj in Khatlon Region is reached by road from regional airports (Dushanbe or Kulob) with marshrutkas and shared taxis the typical public options. Expect long road legs and variable schedules when travelling within Khatlon.
Dushanbe International Airport (DYU): Dushanbe is the main international airport for Tajikistan and the primary gateway for visitors heading to southern Khatlon Region. From Dushanbe you continue by road toward Khatlon; travel times depend on the exact Panj location and border crossings if applicable.
Kulyab / Kulob (KQT) / Bokhtar (KQT region): Kulob (Kulyab) in Khatlon has a regional airport and can be closer for southern Khatlon destinations-useful if schedules suit your itinerary.
Train: Tajikistan’s passenger rail network is limited for many rural areas; trains connect major cities but not all district centres.
