Pakoštane is a coastal town in Zadar County best reached from Zadar Airport or Split and then by regional bus or taxi. Summer bus services are more frequent and convenient for travellers.
Zadar Airport (ZAD): Zadar is the closest airport to Pakoštane (about 25-40 minutes by car). From Zadar Airport you can take a bus to Zadar city and then a regional bus to Pakoštane-total travel time is around 45-70 minutes and combined fares are typically 20-60 HRK. A taxi direct to Pakoštane is about 25-35 minutes and costs roughly 250-400 HRK.
Split Airport (SPU): Split is an alternative (approx. 1-1.5 hours by road). There are regular buses along the coast between Split and Zadar that stop in Pakoštane during the tourist season; fares range from 40-80 HRK depending on operator.
