How to Get to Tkon
Tkon is on the island of Pašman and is reached by a short ferry crossing from Biograd na Moru. The nearest airport is Zadar (ZAD); from there take a bus/taxi to Biograd and the ferry to Tkon. Ferry schedules are seasonal, so plan connections ahead.
Zadar ZEMUNIK Airport (ZAD): The primary airport for Tkon (island of Pašman). From ZAD you can take a shuttle or bus to Biograd na Moru (approx. 30-50 minutes) and then the Jadrolinija ferry to Tkon; total transfer time is commonly 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections.
Split Airport (SPU): An alternative if you find better connections; from Split you take a bus to Biograd or direct services to ferry ports and then the ferry to Tkon - journeys are longer and usually used when routing around the Dalmatian coast.
Train: There is no direct train to the islands; rail travel stops on the mainland (Zadar/Split) and must be followed by bus and ferry.
Bus & Ferry: The usual route is bus from the airport or major city (Zadar/Split/Biograd) to Biograd na Moru or other mainland ferry ports, then a Jadrolinija commercial ferry to Tkon. Ferry crossings are short and seasonal timetables apply - check Jadrolinija for schedules and fares.
How to Get Around Tkon #
Tkon is a small island town on Pašman and is very walkable - most visitors get around on foot. The ferry from Biograd na Moru (Jadrolinija) is the main approach; schedules change seasonally, with many more crossings in summer. Local buses and taxis exist but are limited; renting a bike or car on the island gives more flexibility to reach beaches and villages. Plan ferry times carefully, especially outside the high season.
