The coastal zone has long been associated with marble quarrying and stone carving tied to the adjacent Marble Mountains; tourism and beach recreation have expanded as Da Nang grew as a regional city. The stone-carving village nearby continues to produce traditional sculpture and architectural stonework.
Geographically the beach fronts the South China Sea on the southern side of Da Nang city, within Ngu Hanh Son District. The Marble Mountains rise immediately inland from the beach, and the area is part of the city’s coastal tourism corridor.
