Best Time to Visit Nan, Thailand #

Visit Nan in the cool season (November-February) for trekking, clear skies and comfortable nights. The rainy season swells waterfalls and greens the hills, while pre-monsoon months are very hot.

Cool Season
November - February · 15-28°C (59-82°F)
Dry, cool mornings and crisp evenings are ideal for temple visits and trekking in the hills - my favorite time to explore Nan.
Hot Season
March - May · 24-39°C (75-102°F)
Unforgiving heat and dusty conditions make daytime exploring unpleasant; mornings and late afternoons can work, but hydration and light clothing are mandatory.
Rainy Season
May - October · 23-31°C (73-88°F)
Heavy rains green the landscape and reduce haze; expect muddy trails and occasional floods, but fewer tourists and dramatic waterfalls reward patience.
