How to Get to Nakhon Thai
Nakhon Thai (Phitsanulok province) is most commonly reached via Phitsanulok city - either by flight from Bangkok to Phitsanulok Airport or by overnight train to Phitsanulok station - then a regional bus or minivan to Nakhon Thai.
Phitsanulok Airport (PHS): Phitsanulok is the nearest airport with regular domestic flights from Bangkok (Don Mueang). From Phitsanulok city to Nakhon Thai district expect a drive of about 1.5-2 hours by car or minivan. Taxis and shared vans operate on the route; taxi fares are higher while minivans are the budget option.
Bangkok (BKK/DMK): Many visitors first fly or take the night train to Phitsanulok from Bangkok, then continue overland to Nakhon Thai.
Train: Phitsanulok station on Thailand’s Northern Line is a common arrival point - overnight trains from Bangkok stop there. From Phitsanulok station you can catch a local bus or minivan to Nakhon Thai (journey around 1.5-2 hours).
