My Khe Beach is a sandy shoreline on the coast of Da Nang City in central Vietnam, facing the South China Sea. It is one of the city’s primary urban beaches and a common recreational area for residents and visitors.

A long, sandy shore used for swimming, sunbathing and informal water sports, with a mix of public access points, beachside eateries and nearby hotels. The beach is commonly visited by people looking for easy beach access within Da Nang rather than remote or wilderness coastal experiences.

Historically a local fishing and bathing shoreline, the beach became more intensively used for tourism and coastal recreation as Da Nang developed in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Located along the eastern edge of Da Nang City on Vietnam’s central coast, the beach fronts the South China Sea and sits within the municipal area of Da Nang.

My Khe Beach (Da Nang) is the long public beach along Da Nang’s eastern shoreline. From the city’s Han River / Dragon Bridge area it’s about 3-4 km east - roughly a 10-15 minute drive - following Võ Nguyên Giáp (the main coastal road) to one of the public access points.

The beach is easiest reached by taxi or motorbike; many hotels on the riverfront will arrange transport. There are multiple public access points directly off Võ Nguyên Giáp, so once you reach the coastal road you’re typically only a short walk (a few hundred metres) to the sand.

• Head to the beach at sunrise for calm water, cooler temperatures and far fewer vendors and crowds than midafternoon; it's also the best time for long, empty stretches of sand.
• Walk away from the main city-access points - the northern and southern stretches of My Khe are much quieter than the central, hotel-lined section if you want fewer people and more space.
• If you want surf or water sports, time your visit for late afternoon when winds often pick up and local surf schools and rental stands are busiest-check with local operators for best spots.
