How to Get to Muong Lay#
Mường Lay (Điện Biên) is best reached via a domestic flight to Điện Biên Phủ (DIN) or by long-distance coach from Hanoi and other northern cities. The final leg to Mường Lay is by road.
Điện Biên Phủ Airport / Điện Biên (DIN) and Điện Biên (local fields): Muong Lay is in Điện Biên province; Điện Biên Phủ Airport (DIN) serves the province with limited domestic flights from Hanoi. From Điện Biên Phủ the road journey to Mường Lay takes around 2-3 hours by car depending on road conditions.
Hà Nội (Noi Bai, HAN): Many international travelers fly into Hanoi and take a domestic flight to Điện Biên Phủ, then continue by road to Mường Lay.
