Mount Tullu Dimtu sits on the Sanetti Plateau in the Bale Mountains of Ethiopia and reaches approximately 4,377 meters, the highest point of the Bale range. The area is notable for its Afro-alpine moorland, wide plateaus and endemic wildlife.
Visitors encounter high-elevation grasslands, ericaceous shrublands and occasional rock outcrops, with views across the plateau and to surrounding peaks. The plateau supports populations of endemic mammals and birds, most famously the Ethiopian wolf on open moorland.
Located within Bale Mountains National Park in southeastern Ethiopia, the mountain and plateau are accessed from park roads and ranger-managed entry points in the Oromia region.
