Mehrobod (Sughd Region) is normally accessed via Khujand, the region's main transport hub; Khujand Airport handles domestic flights and Khujand city has the best intercity road links. From Khujand take a short taxi or shared minibus to Mehrobod.

By Air

Khujand (Khudzhand) Airport (LBD): Khujand is the main air gateway for Sughd Region. From Khujand airport the road journey to nearby towns such as Mehrobod is typically short by local standards - taxis or shared vehicles take around 30-60 minutes depending on the exact location and cost a modest sum in somoni.

Dushanbe International Airport (DYU): For international connections you may arrive in Dushanbe and travel overland to Sughd by domestic flight or long road/train journey; the overland travel time is considerably longer than flying into Khujand.

By Train & Bus

Train: Tajikistan has a limited passenger rail network; rail travel in Sughd Region is possible on certain routes but services are infrequent compared with road transport.

Bus / marshrutka: Shared minibuses (marshrutkas) and intercity buses are the standard way to reach smaller towns like Mehrobod from Khujand and other regional centres. Journeys are usually under a couple of hours from Khujand; fares are low (small amounts in somoni) but services run to local schedules.
