How to Get to Maramag
Maramag is usually reached by road after flying into Northern Mindanao (Laguindingan) or Davao. There is no passenger rail on Mindanao, so intercity buses and vans are the main public transport links to the town.
Laguindingan Airport (CGY): Laguindingan serves Cagayan de Oro and is the main airport for Northern Mindanao. From Laguindingan you can take a shuttle van or bus to Cagayan de Oro City (30-40 minutes, roughly PHP 150-PHP 250) and then transfer to a bus bound for Maramag (2-3 hours from CDO, fares typically PHP 150-PHP 300).
Francisco Bangoy International Airport (DVO): Davao’s airport is a longer option for some routes; from Davao City take a bus or van to Maramag via Digos and Kidapawan (this is an overnight/long‑haul option, 6-10 hours depending on connection; fares vary by operator).
Train: There is no intercity passenger rail service to Maramag; Mindanao currently has no nationwide passenger rail network.
Bus: Buses and vans are the reliable way to reach Maramag. From Cagayan de Oro Terminal (Agora or Divisoria terminals) several bus companies run routes to Maramag and neighbouring towns-travel time is about 2-3 hours from CDO, with fares commonly PHP 150-PHP 300. From Davao or other regional cities expect longer travel times and similar intercity bus fares.
