How to Get to Maní, Yucatán

Maní is a small Yucatán town best reached via Mérida (MID) by car or regional bus. Mérida offers the most convenient connections; from there use ADO buses to nearby hubs and local taxis or colectivos for the short final leg.

By Air

Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport, Mérida (MID): Mérida is the closest major airport for Maní. From Mérida airport the drive to Maní takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic (roughly 80-100 km). Car rental or private transfer is common; taxi or ride-hail fares from the airport to Maní are typically higher than bus options.

Cancún International Airport (CUN): If you arrive in Cancún, the drive to Maní is longer (about 3-3.5 hours, ~300 km) and usually done by rental car or long-distance bus via Mérida. CUN is an option when flying from international carriers without routes to Mérida.

By Train & Bus

Bus: ADO and other Yucatán regional bus lines run frequent services from Mérida to nearby towns such as Ticul or Mayapán; from those hubs you can take a local taxi or colectivo into Maní. ADO Mérida→Ticul fares are commonly in the 80-150 MXN range and take around 1-1.5 hours; the final leg to Maní is typically 15-30 minutes by taxi/colectivo.

Colectivo / Local Vans: Colectivos (shared vans) and local taxis operate between smaller towns and villages in southern Yucatán. They are inexpensive and frequent, but timetables are informal - expect to wait until a van fills or negotiate a private ride for quicker service.
