How to Get to Tenabo
Tenabo is a small municipality in Campeche state best reached by road from Campeche city (and its airport). There is no passenger rail service to the town; regional buses and taxis are the normal connections.
Campeche International Airport (CPE): Campeche city airport is the closest commercial airport to Tenabo (roughly 30-50 km). From CPE take a taxi or regional bus to Tenabo (about 30-50 minutes); fares are modest (taxi fares in the range of MXN 300-600 depending on vehicle and negotiation).
Mérida (MID) or Villahermosa (VSA): If flying into Mérida or Villahermosa, expect a longer onward road journey (2-4 hours) by bus or rental car to Tenabo and surrounding areas in Campeche state.
Train: There is no regular passenger rail service to Tenabo; Mexico’s passenger rail network does not serve this area.
