Mactan Cebu International Airport

There are two separate passenger terminals linked by road. Terminal 2 is the newer international facility with modern passenger services; Terminal 1 is older and handles much domestic traffic. Transfers between terminals are by road (taxi or shuttle) and typically take 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.

Mactan-Cebu is connected to Cebu City by road across two bridges; typical travel time to Cebu City depends on traffic (about 20-40 minutes).

• Buses/Shuttles: Airport shuttles and local buses run between the airport and various city points; frequency varies.
• Taxis/Ride-share: Metered taxis and Grab operate to and from the airport; fares to Cebu City generally vary by destination and traffic - expect a range rather than a fixed fare.
• Driving: The airport is on Mactan Island; allow extra time for bridge congestion during peak hours.

Parking, car hire and inter-terminal road links are available at the airport.

Terminal 2 provides modern duty‑free shopping, cafés and full passenger services; Terminal 1 has more basic facilities. Free or limited free Wi‑Fi is generally available; charging points are present in gate areas. Airline and pay lounges are in the international terminal; shower facilities are usually found inside lounges. Accessible services are provided but can vary by terminal - check with your airline for assistance.

Mactan-Cebu has many resort and city hotels on Mactan Island and in Cebu City; for bookings use the parent chain sites (e.g. marriott.com, hilton.com).

Layover tip: for short daytime layovers consider a resort day pass on Mactan Island or a day room in a hotel near the Mactan bridge; for overnight layovers central Cebu hotels give faster access to nightlife and services.
