Liseberg is an amusement park and public garden in central Gothenburg that opened in 1923 and is one of Scandinavia’s largest and oldest amusement parks. The park combines permanent rides, seasonal attractions and landscaped areas within a city location.

Rides include family attractions and major roller coasters, alongside seasonal shows, concerts and events that draw both local residents and tourists. The park is known for high-profile coasters and for hosting large public events during summer and autumn.

Liseberg began as a public attraction in the early 20th century and expanded over decades to add modern roller coasters and entertainments while retaining parkland and decorative gardens.

The entrance is at the Korsve4gen transport hub in central Gothenburg, adjacent to other cultural venues and easily reached by tram.

Liseberg is located in central Gothenburg at Korsvägen, adjacent to the Scandinavium and the Universeum. Take Gothenburg’s tram network to the Korsvägen stop (served by multiple tram lines from the central station) and you’ll be a very short walk from the park entrance. By car it’s only a few kilometres south of Gothenburg city centre and typically a 5-10 minute drive depending on traffic.

• Arrive at opening time and head straight for the most popular roller coasters to minimize queue time during the morning rush.
• If you plan to ride multiple attractions, buy a ride pass or priority/express option in advance-these are offered by the park and significantly cut waiting times on busy days.
• Leave time in the evening to see the park's light displays and performances; Liseberg's seasonal events (summer, Halloween, Christmas) draw big crowds, so plan weekday visits if possible.
