Kyrenia City
Historic city with beautiful harbor views
A crescent harbour, a stone castle with a shipwreck museum and narrow harbor-side cafés make Kyrenia compact and readable. Visitors come for boat trips, sea caves, hilltop views and seafood grilled over wood fires.
Why Visit Kyrenia?#
Perched beneath the Kyrenia Mountains, Kyrenia offers one of Cyprus’s most photogenic harbours and a compact old quarter. The restored Kyrenia Castle and nearby Bellapais Abbey frame centuries of history, while wooden caiques depart from the harbor for Mediterranean cruises and coastal fishing trips. Waterfront seafood meze and winding lanes of cafés create a relaxed setting that blends mountain scenery with seaside atmosphere.
