Tips for Visiting KV38 #
- KV38 is a tomb within the Valley of the Kings - opening schedules rotate and individual tombs are often closed for conservation, so check the official opening list at the West Bank visitor centre before you go.
- Go at site opening to avoid the heat and to see tombs with far fewer people inside; morning visits also give better light for exterior photography of the necropolis.
- Hire a licensed guide at the Valley entrance or buy a ticket that covers the smaller tombs - guides and the visitor centre can tell you which less-visited chambers are open that day and explain their history.

Best visited in the cooler months (roughly October-April) when daytime temperatures are comfortable; summers are extremely hot and taxing for outdoor archaeology visits.
