Exploring Koh Sdach#
Home to just a few hundred people of Cambodian, Thai and Vietnamese descent, Koh Sdach is a low-key getaway with good snorkelling, fishing and a handful of pleasant beaches. A waterfront resort, a fish market and a few restaurants cluster around the main town where the boats come in, and the whole island can be crossed on foot in under an hour.
The surrounding waters teem with fish, and boat trips run to the best snorkelling and fishing spots. Ferries connect the island with both Koh Kong town and Sihanoukville to the south; it lies just offshore from Botum Sakor National Park, in a remote corner of the province.
