Koh Sdach - King Island Travel Guide

The small island of Koh Sdach / King Island lies just off the coast of Koh Kong Province, between Sihanoukville and the town of Koh Kong. It is an interesting getaway for the discerning traveler and comes with some decent snorkeling and fishing and nice beaches.

Koh Sdach is home to just a few hundred people, mainly of Cambodian, Thai, and Vietnamese descent, and has a few places for visitors to stay. There is a resort right at the waterfront in the main town where the boats come in, as well as a fish market and some restaurants.

Good snorkeling and fishing can be had as there are vast numbers of fish species here and you can get on boat trips to the best spots. You can also walk right across the island as it is only a mile or so across.

For transport, boats run regularly from both Koh Kong town and from Sihanoukville, farther south. The island is just offshore from Botum Sakor National Park, although this is a remote part of the province.
