How to Get to Klos (municipality)#
Klos (municipality) is reached primarily by road. The nearest major airport is Tirana Nënë Tereza Airport (TIA); from there the most practical way to reach Klos is by car, taxi, or intercity minibus via Burrel.
Tirana Nënë Tereza Airport (TIA): The main international gateway for central and northern Albania. From TIA you can reach Klos by rental car or taxi (drive ~1.5-2 hours depending on traffic) and by shared/minibus services that connect Tirana with Burrel and Klos; taxis will be substantially more expensive than minibuses.
Prishtina/Skopje/Vienna (regional options): For some international connections travellers use nearby international airports in Skopje (SKP) or, less commonly, Vienna (VIE) and then continue overland; travel times vary widely (Skopje ~3-4 hours by car) so these are only practical if you plan multi-stop travel.
Train: Albania’s passenger rail network is limited and there is no regular intercity passenger train service directly to Klos. Nearest useful rail services and stations are in larger towns (Tirana area historically has limited services); travel to Klos by rail is not a reliable option.
Bus: Intercity minibuses and coach services run from Tirana’s north/terminal bus stations toward Burrel and the Mat valley; typical journey time Tirana→Klos is about 1.5-2 hours by road.
