Kasai Rinkai Park is a large urban park on the Tokyo Bay shoreline in Edogawa, Tokyo, developed on reclaimed land to provide green space and coastal recreation for the eastern Tokyo area. The park opened in the late 20th century and combines leisure facilities with managed natural habitats.

The Tokyo Sea Life Park aquarium and expansive tidal flats and bird sanctuary that attract migratory and resident waterbirds. The park also features family-friendly facilities, seaside promenades and an observation area offering views across Tokyo Bay and toward central Tokyo on clear days.

The site was created as part of Tokyo’s coastal development and reclamation projects and has been managed to balance recreation with habitat conservation. It lies on the eastern edge of metropolitan Tokyo and is accessible by rail and local transport from central parts of the city.

How to Get to Kasai Rinkai Park #

Kasai Rinkai Park is served directly by Kasai‑Rinkai‑Koen Station on the JR Keiyō Line; the park entrance and Tokyo Sea Life Park are a short walk (a few minutes) from that station. From central Tokyo you can reach Kasai‑Rinkai‑Koen by JR Keiyō Line (change at Tokyo Station or nearby interchange stations); the park is inside Tokyo and easy to reach by train plus a very short walk.

  • Use Kasai Rinkai Koen Station on the JR Keiyo Line and approach from the waterfront to reach the aquarium and birdwatching areas quickly; weekdays and early mornings are noticeably less crowded than weekends.
