Khon Kaen Airport (KKC): Khon Kaen is the closest commercial airport serving northeastern Thailand. From KKC you can take a taxi directly to Kaeng Khro (private taxi fares commonly run around 800-1,200 THB and the drive is roughly 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic), or take a local bus/minivan from Khon Kaen Bus Terminal to Chaiyaphum and change to a songthaew for the last leg (bus/minivan ~60-150 THB, 1.5-2.5 hours to Chaiyaphum, then local fare to Kaeng Khro).
Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi BKK / Don Mueang DMK): Bangkok’s airports are the main national gateways if you’re coming from farther away.
