Kham Sakaesaeng is on Thailand's Northeastern rail corridor and is reachable by regional train or by bus/minivan from Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen. For international travellers the usual route is via Bangkok then overland or a short domestic flight to Khon Kaen.

By Air

Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi (BKK) / Don Mueang (DMK): Kham Sakaesaeng has no commercial airport; the main international gateways are Bangkok’s airports. From Bangkok you can travel overland to Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) and continue to Kham Sakaesaeng by bus or train. Domestic flights to Khon Kaen (KKC) are an option if you prefer to fly part of the way and then continue by road.

Khon Kaen (KKC): Khon Kaen airport offers domestic flights from Bangkok; from Khon Kaen city you can reach Kham Sakaesaeng by bus or minivan in roughly 1-2 hours depending on service and traffic.

By Train & Bus

Train: Kham Sakaesaeng has a station on the State Railway of Thailand’s Northeastern Line (Kham Sakaesaeng railway station). Local and ordinary trains connect it with Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) and further to Bangkok; travel times vary by service class. Fares are very affordable on ordinary/rapid trains.
