How to Get to Jdeideh
Jdeideh (Mount Lebanon) is effectively a suburb of Beirut and is easiest reached from Beirut's international airport. Taxis and shared minibuses are the common ways to reach Jdeideh; there is no regular rail service.
Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY): BEY is the main airport serving Jdeideh (Mount Lebanon). From the airport a taxi to Jdeideh typically takes 20-35 minutes depending on traffic; fixed-price airport taxis or negotiated fares commonly range roughly US$15-35. Shared airport shuttle services and private transfers are also available.
Other regional airports: There are no nearer international airports; domestic arrivals (if any) normally route through Beirut first.
Train: Lebanon does not currently operate a national passenger rail network for regular travel; trains are not a practical option to reach Jdeideh.
Bus / Service Taxis (shared minibus): Local shared minibuses and service taxis operate from Beirut hubs (for example Dora and central Beirut) towards Jdeideh and the Metn area. Fares are low (a few thousand LBP or the USD-equivalent for airport-to-city shuttles); minibuses are cheap but have variable schedules-use them for daytime budget travel and a taxi for convenience or late hours.
How to Get Around Jdeideh #
Jdeideh (Mount Lebanon) is an urbanised suburb with compact neighbourhoods that are often explored on foot. Streets can be busy; short taxi rides are common and inexpensive for local trips. Service taxis (shared minibuses) and private cars are widely used to reach Beirut and neighbouring districts. Parking and traffic can be an issue during peak times, so allow extra time for journeys.
