Ho is best reached by road after arriving at Accra's Kotoka International Airport (ACC); there is also a small Ho airstrip used for charters rather than scheduled flights. Regular intercity coaches and shared minibuses connect Accra and other regional towns with Ho.

By Air

Kotoka International Airport (ACC): Kotoka in Accra is the nearest major international airport serving Ho. From Kotoka you must travel by road the rest of the way: scheduled intercity coaches (Metro Mass Transit and private coach operators) run from Accra to Ho (see Bus section) - journey time is roughly 3.5-4 hours by coach. Shared minibuses (tro-tros) are cheaper but slower; a private taxi or car hire will cut travel time to about 3-3.5 hours but costs substantially more.

Ho Airport (Ho Airfield): Ho has a small airstrip used for charters and general aviation rather than scheduled commercial flights. If you arrive by charter, a short taxi ride into central Ho takes under 20 minutes; local taxis or motorbike taxis are the usual option.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no regular passenger rail service serving Ho. Ghana’s main passenger rail services do not connect to Ho, so rail is not a practical option for reaching the city.

Bus: Intercity buses and shared minibuses are the normal way to reach Ho from Accra and other regional centres.
