How to Get to Hasbaya
Hasbaya (Nabatieh Governorate) is reached overland from Beirut (BEY) by car, taxi or local minibus; there are no convenient rail links. Road travel time and cross-border considerations can vary, so check local conditions before departure.
Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY): The main international gateway for Lebanon is Beirut Airport. Hasbaya is in southern Lebanon and is roughly 1.5-2 hours’ drive from Beirut depending on route and border checkpoints. From the airport you can hire a taxi or rent a car for the drive.
Regional airports: There are no closer reliable international airports; travel from regional airports in neighbouring countries requires careful border and visa planning.
Train: Lebanon does not currently have a functioning national passenger rail service suitable for reaching Hasbaya.
Bus / Minibus: Shared minibuses (service vans) and local buses operate in southern Lebanon linking towns; schedules are informal. To reach Hasbaya you will typically travel by bus or minibus from larger towns (e.g., Nabatieh or Baalbek region depending on route) and complete the journey by taxi.
