Garden Wall

Garden Wall is a steep alpine ridge and arête on the Continental Divide within Glacier National Park in Montana, United States, noted for its exposed cliffs and alpine meadows. It is a prominent geological feature visible from nearby roads and trails.

A well-known section of the Highline Trail runs along the Garden Wall, offering panoramic views into glacial cirques and valley floors and extensive wildflower displays in summer. The ridge forms a dramatic escarpment that is a highlight for hikers and photographers.

The Garden Wall was shaped by Pleistocene glaciation and subsequent erosion, producing the sharp ridge and cirque scenery that characterize this part of Glacier National Park. It has been part of the park landscape since the area was protected.

The Garden Wall sits at Logan Pass on the Continental Divide and is directly adjacent to the Going-to-the-Sun Road, making it accessible from the park’s main scenic route and trailheads.
