Freire is most practically reached via Temuco (La Araucanía Airport, ZCO) and then by short road transfer. Regional buses and taxis from Temuco serve Freire several times daily.

By Air

La Araucanía Airport / Temuco (ZCO): Temuco is the closest commercial airport for the Araucanía towns including Freire. From Temuco the drive to Freire is about 30-60 minutes by taxi or car; taxis and rental cars are available at the airport.

Arturo Merino Benítez, Santiago (SCL): Santiago is the major international gateway; most visitors to Freire will fly into Santiago and then take a domestic flight to Temuco or travel overland to Temuco and continue by road.

By Train & Bus
