Vilcún is easiest to reach via La Araucanía Airport (Temuco, ZCO) or by bus from Temuco. The town is a short drive from Temuco and is well served by regional buses and local minibuses.
La Araucanía Airport / Temuco (ZCO): Temuco’s airport is the main air gateway for Araucanía. Vilcún is about 20-40 minutes’ drive southeast of Temuco by car or taxi; taxis and rental cars are available at the airport.
Arturo Merino Benítez, Santiago (SCL): Some travellers also fly into Santiago and continue by road or a domestic connection to Temuco before proceeding to Vilcún.
