Elijio Panti National Park National Park

Elijio Panti National Park is a protected area in the Cayo District of western Belize, named for the traditional Maya healer Elijio Panti. It conserves forested land and sites of cultural importance.

Within the park visitors find tropical forest, caves, natural pools and waterfalls connected by a network of trails used for guided hikes, wildlife viewing and visits to natural swimming spots.

The park was established to protect both natural habitat and locations of cultural and traditional significance to local Maya communities, supporting community-based conservation and interpretation.

Located in the Cayo District of western Belize, the park lies in hilly terrain near the foothills of the Maya Mountains and is accessed via roads and community trailheads in the central Cayo region.
