Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU): San Juan’s airport is the primary international gateway; travel time from SJU to Yabucoa-area destinations is about 1-1.5 hours and taxis or rideshares typically cost USD 40-90 depending on exact location.
Mercedita Airport, Ponce (PSE): PSE is further away for Yabucoa and less practical for eastern towns; most travelers to El Negro will use SJU or regional road connections.
Train: Puerto Rico does not have intercity passenger rail; Tren Urbano serves only the San Juan metro and does not reach Yabucoa.
