How to Get to Dusheti
Dusheti is normally reached from Tbilisi: fly into Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) then continue by marshrutka from Didube bus station or by taxi. There is no passenger rail service to the town, so road transport is the main option.
Tbilisi International Airport (TBS): Tbilisi is the main air gateway for Dusheti and the Mtskheta‑Mtianeti region. From Tbilisi Airport you can take a taxi direct to Dusheti (about 60-90 minutes depending on traffic; typical fare roughly 80-120 GEL) or transfer into the city and use marshrutka services from the Didube bus station.
Other regional air options: There are no regular commercial flights directly to Dusheti; Tbilisi remains the practical international arrival point.
Train: Dusheti does not have a direct passenger rail connection; the Georgian rail network does not provide direct services to the town.
Bus / Marshrutka: Minibuses (marshrutkas) depart Tbilisi’s Didube bus station for Dusheti regularly. Expect the ride to take about 1-1.5 hours and cost around 3-6 GEL per person. From Tbilisi Airport take the metro/bus/taxi to Didube (metro fare ~1.30 GEL; taxi ~15-30 GEL depending on time of day) to catch the marshrutka.
