Durankulak is a prehistoric archaeological complex on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in Dobrich Province, known for a long sequence of Neolithic and Eneolithic occupation. The site includes both a large settlement and an associated necropolis with substantial pottery and bone tool assemblages.

Archaeological work has documented house remains, pottery styles and burial practices spanning the 6th millennium BC and later prehistoric periods, making Durankulak important for understanding early farming communities on the northwestern Black Sea littoral.

The site lies beside Durankulak Lake near the village of Durankulak close to the Bulgarian-Romanian border, on the coastal plain of northeastern Bulgaria.

• Early dates: The site dates to the Neolithic and Eneolithic periods, with principal occupation phases around the 6th millennium BC and continuing into later prehistoric periods.

• Settlement area: Extensive Neolithic and Eneolithic settlement remains including house plans, pottery assemblages and domestic debris dating primarily to the 6th millennium BC.
• Necropolis: A large necropolis adjacent to the settlement containing inhumations and grave goods that illustrate burial practices from the Neolithic into the Chalcolithic.

Durankulak is near the village of the same name in Dobrich Province; regional buses from Dobrich or Shabla run to the area, and the site lies a short walk from the village center. Driving is straightforward along coastal roads.
