How to Get to Dubwala#
Dubwala (in Guna Yala) is reached by travelling from Panama City to Cartí and then by boat into the archipelago. There are no rail links; the combination of road shuttle and local boat is the standard public route.
Tocumen International (PTY): Panama City (Tocumen) is the primary international gateway for travel to Guna Yala (the Kuna Yala comarca). From Panama City you travel overland to the coastal port of Cartí (about 2-3 hours by car/minibus from the city) and then take a boat to reach island communities such as Dubwala.
Albrook / Marcos A. Gelabert (PAC): Domestic flights from Albrook and small-charter flights sometimes serve airstrips closer to Guna Yala islands, but the most reliable public route to Dubwala is overland to Cartí followed by a boat transfer.
Train: Panama has no intercity passenger rail service relevant to this route.
Bus / Road: Regular minibuses and shuttles run from Panama City (Albrook or other pick-up points) to the port villages near Cartí.
