Doi Ang Khang Travel Guide

Doi Ang Khang is one of the finest mountain destinations in northern Thailand. Its cool clean air and lush terrain make it an ideal place to escape the bustle of the city.

The mountain is well-equipped to keep tourists busy. A small hotel and several guesthouses mean you can stay right in the heart of the scenery and mingle with other visiting Thais and foreigners.

Trekking and mountain biking are major outdoor activities in Doi Ang Khang, but many people come here just to chill out and soak in the quiet atmosphere. The area is renowned for its bird-watching, and if you want to see one of the King’s Royal Projects, the agricultural project station is open for public perusal.

Getting There & Away

Doi Ang Khang is a three hour drive from Chaing Mai. It is located in a rather remote part of northern Thailand, so renting your own car and driving yourself is the best way to get to the mountain park. Chiang Mai is also home to the nearest airport and offer guided tours to the mountain. Chiang Mai is easy to reach from anywhere within Thailand by bus, train, and air.
