Doi Ang Khang is a mountain area in northern Thailand in the Daen Lao Range near the border with Myanmar, noted for its cool highland climate and agricultural research projects.
The site hosts a Royal Agricultural Station that runs demonstration plots and flower gardens used to introduce temperate crops and alternative livelihoods to local hill-tribe communities. Visitors commonly come for the cultivated gardens, strawberry and temperate-fruit plots, short hikes and panoramic viewpoints.
The station and surrounding slopes were developed as part of Thailand’s royal projects to support highland agriculture and rural development.
Doi Ang Khang sits inland in northern Chiang Mai province near Fang district and close to the Thai-Myanmar border; the area is reached by mountain roads from the surrounding lowlands.
