How to Get to Debarwa
Debarwa is reached by road from Asmara (Asmara International Airport is the main arrival point). Public road transport is limited and often informal; private hire or arranged transfers are the most reliable ways to reach Debarwa.
Asmara International Airport (ASM): Asmara is the main international gateway for Eritrea. From Asmara to Debarwa the road journey is the primary option; travel times vary with exact routing and vehicle but expect a couple of hours by car or taxi. Arrange transport in advance where possible; private taxis and hired vehicles are the usual choices.
Regional airports: There are no closer international airports with regular service to Debarwa; most travellers arrive in Asmara and continue by road.
Train: Eritrea does not currently operate a national passenger rail system linking major cities to Debarwa.
