How to Get to DAMAC Hills#

DAMAC Hills is a residential and leisure development in Dubai’s Dubailand area best reached by road from Dubai’s airports. Taxis or a metro + short taxi are the most practical options; allow extra time for peak-hour traffic.

By Air

Dubai International Airport (DXB): Dubai’s main airport is about 30-45 minutes from DAMAC Hills (traffic dependent). Taxi fares from DXB to DAMAC Hills are typically AED 70-110 and take roughly 30-45 minutes. You can also take the Dubai Metro from DXB to a nearby interchange and then a short taxi for the last leg.

Al Maktoum International (DWC): DWC (Dubai World Central) is further south but can be convenient depending on your carrier; taxi travel to DAMAC Hills is around 25-40 minutes and costs roughly AED 80-120.

By Train & Bus

Train / Metro: The Dubai Metro doesn’t stop directly at DAMAC Hills. The nearest metro stations are on the Red Line (e.g., Mall of the Emirates); from there a taxi or RTA bus is required for the final 10-20 minutes.

Bus: RTA buses and private shuttle services connect DAMAC Hills with Dubai neighbourhoods and malls. Taxis are the most convenient for door-to-door travel; expect metro-plus-taxi combinations for the best balance of cost and time.

How to Get Around DAMAC Hills#

DAMAC Hills is primarily car- and taxi-oriented. Use Dubai Metro + taxi for a cost-effective route from central Dubai, or take a direct taxi from DXB/DWC for convenience - always allow extra time for traffic.

  • Taxi (AED 40-120) - Taxis are the most straightforward way to reach DAMAC Hills from airports or the metro. They are metered, safe, and plentiful; journeys across Dubai are quick compared with public-bus alternatives but can be affected by peak traffic.
  • Metro + taxi (Metro fares AED 3-8 + short taxi AED 15-40) - Use the Dubai Metro to the nearest station (e.g., Mall of the Emirates) then take a taxi for the last 10-20 minutes. This cuts cost while keeping travel time reasonable; metro fares vary by distance and class.
  • Bus / RTA services (AED 2-8) - RTA buses serve many routes but do not drop you inside DAMAC Hills; expect a short walk or taxi from the stop. Buses are the cheapest option but slower and less convenient with luggage.
  • Car hire / self-drive (From ~AED 120/day (vehicle dependent, excludes fuel/tolls)) - Renting a car is convenient for exploring Dubai and accessing neighbouring attractions; parking in DAMAC Hills and at nearby malls is widely available. Factor in toll Salik charges for certain routes.
  • Ride-hailing apps (AED 40-140) - Uber/Careem and local apps operate across Dubai and are a convenient alternative to taxis-prices comparable or slightly higher during peak times. Useful for scheduled pickups or when avoiding cash.
  • Walking - Walking is practical only for short trips within the DAMAC Hills community (to local shops, parks and amenities). For most attractions and the city at large, a vehicle is preferable.
