Commerzbank Tower is a prominent office skyscraper in Frankfurt’s central business district and serves as the headquarters of Commerzbank. The building was designed by Foster and Partners and completed in 1997.

The tower is a major component of Frankfurt’s skyline and is known for its office space and corporate functions rather than public visitor facilities. External views from nearby plazas and riverfront walkways are the typical way most people experience the building.

It was commissioned and built for Commerzbank during the 1990s expansion of Frankfurt’s financial quarter and has remained a principal office location since opening. The site sits within the Bankenviertel, surrounded by other major banks and high-rise office towers.

Located in central Frankfurt am Main, the tower is within walking distance of the Main River and central transport hubs including Hauptwache and Taunusanlage stations.

By car the tower is reached via the A648/A66 approaches into the city center.

• Visit Commerzbank Tower around dusk when the building's internal lighting highlights its atrium and stacked sky-garden volumes-this gives the best photographic contrast with Frankfurt's skyline.
• Approach from Taunusanlage/Neue Mainzer Straße (Taunusanlage S-Bahn is closest) to see the main plaza and corporate forecourt; that side gives the clearest uninterrupted views of the tower's vertical gardens.
• If you want to see the interior sky-gardens, contact the building's management or book through an arranged corporate/tour group in advance-public access to the internal garden floors is restricted and usually requires prior permission.
