Coco (Salinas) is easiest reached by road from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU); travel by taxi or rental car is the most practical. There is no direct rail service, so buses or private vehicles cover the route.

Renting a car at SJU is a common choice if you plan to visit beaches and coastal points around Salinas.
Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN): On the west coast (Aguadilla) and not practical for Salinas arrivals due to longer overland transfer times.
Train: Tren Urbano does not serve Salinas; the nearest relevant Tren Urbano stops are in the greater San Juan metro (Bayamón), requiring long onward travel by road.
Bus: Intercity buses and private guaguas connect San Juan with southern towns including Salinas; fares are inexpensive (typically small USD amounts) but journeys can be long-allow 1-2 hours or more depending on route and traffic, plus a local taxi for final access to some beaches or barrios like Coco.
