Church of the Saviour at Berestove Religious Site

The Church of the Saviour at Berestove is a medieval church in the Berestove quarter of Kyiv, originally established in the 11th century and associated with the princely residences of Kyivan Rus. It is valued for its early medieval origins and later architectural layers.

The church was constructed in the 11th century and has been rebuilt and renovated in subsequent centuries, including significant work in the 17th and 19th centuries. Elements of the medieval structure survive along with later decorative and structural additions.

The church sits in the Berestove area of Kyiv, within the city’s historical district near parks and former princely estates, to the east of Kyiv’s central commercial streets.
