By Air

Kuantan Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport (KUA): The nearest airport for Cherating is Kuantan (KUA), roughly 45-60 minutes’ drive depending on traffic. From KUA you can take a taxi directly to Cherating (about 45-60 minutes) - taxi fares are commonly in the RM80-RM150 range depending on vehicle and time.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL): Many travellers fly to Kuala Lumpur and continue by long‑distance bus to Kuantan. Buses run from KL Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) to Kuantan (3.5-4.5 hours) with fares typically between MYR 30-60; from Kuantan central terminal a taxi or local minibus will take you to Cherating (about 30-60 minutes).

By Train & Bus
